NEW Sports is our High School program for students who play a sport. You study at a high school abroad and also join the school's official team: you train with the group, wear the team uniform, and follow the competitions the school takes part in. The coach decides whether you get to play, so that can vary from team to team.
It's a chance to experience up close that school-sports culture you see so much in movies and shows: practice after class, games against other schools, team uniform, and a whole school cheering along. The United States and Canada are the most popular destinations, but it's also available in Europe.
Learn about High SchoolJust like on High School, the student stays with a host family (homestay) or in the high school's own student residence, depending on the program chosen.
Many schools offer a partial or even full scholarship to students who play a sport. The head coach makes that call: we send the student's materials (sports history, videos, stats, whatever makes sense for that sport) for the coach to review and decide whether the student is eligible for a scholarship.
The final decision always belongs to the head coach, so it's not an automatic guarantee, but it's a real chance to lower the cost of your exchange program by playing a sport you already play.
