About NEW

About NEW Intercambio

NEW Intercambio is a Canadian education consultancy, officially registered as NEW Intercambio Educational Services INC., headquartered in Toronto with its own offices in Aracaju and Araraquara, Brazil. We take care of our students' whole exchange process, from choosing the country to coming back home. See more at About Us.

NEW was born in January 2020. Before that, the founder, Renato Dias, lived the journey as a student: he went to Canada without speaking English, learned the language from scratch at a language school, and earned a postgraduate degree in Human Resources at a public Canadian college. Afterward, he spent 4 years working at an English school in Toronto, watching up close the process of people who came from all over the world to study in Canada. See more at About Us.

We've already helped over 1,200 students study abroad since 2020.

Headquarters is in Toronto, Canada. In Brazil, we have our own offices in Aracaju and Araraquara.

Both: we serve people in person in Yorkville, Toronto, and also 100% online, for anyone anywhere in Brazil or the world.
Programs

Programs and Destinations

Several: language courses (general, 30+, family, or English for professionals), High School, Summer Camp and NEW Sports for teens, College, University and Vocational Courses for those seeking study and work, plus Au Pair and Volunteer Work. See each one in detail in the Exchange Programs menu, at the top of the site.

We've already sent students to Canada, the United States, Ireland, England, Australia, Malta, South Africa and other countries.

Yes, for students already of legal age, with options in College, University and Vocational Courses, under the Study & Work menu.

Yes, under the Teen Exchange menu: High School abroad, Summer Camp for those who want a shorter experience, and also NEW Sports.

It's a cultural program in the United States, based on the J-1 visa (Exchange Visitor Program) from the U.S. Department of State. You live with an American family, care for the children, and receive housing, meals, a weekly stipend, a course, and airfare, with full support from NEW. See Au Pair.

Be between 18 and 26 years old, intermediate English, a valid driver's license, and availability to stay in the program for 12 to 24 months. Prior childcare experience is a plus, but not required.
Process

Process and Documents

We take care of everything together with you: choosing the country and school, enrollment, visa, flight, insurance and housing, with individual support from planning to departure and throughout your whole stay, plus 24-hour emergency support.

Yes, complete guidance so you travel properly prepared, whether it's a study, work, or tourist visa. See more at NEW Vistos.

It varies depending on the destination country and the program chosen. We'll explain the expected timeline as soon as we understand your profile and goal.

Yes, flight, insurance, and housing are organized by us, from start to finish of the process.

It depends on the type of housing: homestay (host family), student residence, or hotel. For homestay and student residence, NEW does an in-person visit to see the place up close before recommending it, plus a background check and yearly review, also taking into account feedback from previous students.
Safety

Safety and Support

With an in-person visit, a background check, and a yearly review, plus taking into account feedback from students who've already stayed there.

We have 24-hour emergency support throughout the whole program, because the unexpected doesn't pick a time.

Throughout the whole stay, with regular check-ins with the student from planning all the way to coming back home, not just on arrival.

Yes, round-trip transfer is organized by NEW.
Visas

Visas and Documents

Each one serves a different purpose during your exchange program, and the required documentation changes depending on the country and program. We'll guide you on which one applies to your case at NEW Vistos.

It's an electronic travel authorization, the simplest option for those already eligible to apply. We handle that process through Support Express.

It's a document used in the Canadian visa process (and also for enrolling in post-secondary institutions), which we review and guide you through as part of Support Express.

Yes. Every case is different, so we first understand what happened to put together the best strategy for you, whether that's the ATIP process to understand the reasons for the denial, or guidance for a new application.

No, Support Express serves students and non-students alike. Every NEW student, in fact, already has Support Express included in their package.
